The Mission
The mission of New Life Church is to connect the unconnected to Jesus and His Church and help them find hope and meaning.
The Vision
The vision of New Life Church is to be a community of authentic believers transformed by Christ Jesus and to witness a city transformed by the life-changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
at New Life Church our Ministry Focuses are

Worshiping God
The first focus at New Life Church is the worship of the Triune God of Scripture. Christ has called us to be those who worship in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23-24). We do that cooperatively and personally. Cooperatively, we do each time we meet by singing songs in worship, and we do that personally throughout the week by spending time in Scripture, Prayer, and personal worship.

Gospel-Centered Community
When Christ Jesus saves us, He saves us personally. Yet, as Christians we are called to be a part of the Gospel-Centered community that is the local church. When we do so we are able to give the spiritual gift of encouragement (Rom. 1:11-12) and are able to serve each other as members of the same body (1 Cor. 12:12-31).

Grace -Fueled Dicipleship
Each Christian is called to grow in their relationship with Christ and those that are part of His Church. We believe that this journey has its ups and downs for each person, yet it is the grace of Christ that works in us (1 Cor. 15:10) to accomplish this. The message of the gospel is not to 'white knuckle' your way to Heaven, but rather that Christ, through His grace, will complete the work that He started in us (Phil. 1:6).

Evangelism
One of the commands that is given to every Christian is to 'do the work of an evangelist' (2 Tim. 4:5) as we are called by Christ to go make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20). We believe that this is something that all Christians are called to and not just the work of 'professional Christians' who are employed by a church.

Service & Ministry
Every follower of King Jesus has been called to good works which God has predestined for them (Eph. 2:10). The good works that we are called to do not save us (Gal. 2:15-21), but they do flow from the faith that we have been given (Jam. 2:14-26). As the reformer, Martin Luther, said, "God does not need your good works, but your neighbor does."

Next-Gen Ministry
It is our desire at New Life Church to see the coming generations know and follow Christ. We have existed in Toms River for 159 years, and it was due to the generations that came before us. We see ourselves as another link in the chain of gospel faithfulness that will exist after us. As such we have a focus and desire in seeing young families come, feel welcome, and get plugged into the life of the church.
